This was one of my first videos about image schemas and conceptual metaphors. It's a bit scholarly, but it really goes into depth about the CONTAINER, PATH, CENTER-PERIPHERY, PART-WHOLE and LINK Schemas.
I've discovered that these core schemas, also known as spatial primitives, are really useful for mapping the multiple meanings of phrasal verbs. You can evidence of this in my post on Landmarks, Trajectors, and Pompoms when I use my arm as a path, my hand as a surface, my finger as a link, and a cup as a container.
