I share here my lesson plans designed to supplement the EnglishConnect program. Teaching English as a volunteer in my community is one of my favorite past times! English is such a gateway to successful immigration, employment, and further education.
EnglishConnect
EnglishConnect is an English-learning program provided by The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. The purpose of EnglishConnect is to help individuals develop English skills in an environment of faith, fellowship, and growth. EnglishConnect 1 and 2 teach students basic English, while English Connect 3 prepares learners for academic opportunities - specifically the church's educational program "BYU-Pathway Worldwide."
EnglishConnect 1 is the most basic level of the program and focuses on helping learners use the language right away in meaningful ways.
